My card features the new Toyland Bear set.

I used the Copics on Flocking technique to create this fuzzy brown bear.  I popped it up over the original image, along with the bow and ball.  This gave great dimension to this image.

The card front was created by stamping the pine in the left corner, extending across the top and part way down the left side.  I used two different colors of green ink.  After stamping I used a die from Spellbinders’ Mix N Match Ornaments set to create a window.  Then this piece was run through an embossing folder and lightly sponged with ink.
x

The sentiment was heat embossed with Firecracker Red EP inside a tracing of the ornament window.  Then the branch was stamped around the edges.  This piece was popped up behind the window.
x

This was layered on a piece of red cardstock that edged with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Christmas Fire EP.  All of this was layered on a piece of green plaid and added to a white card base.

I used the Glittered Ribbon technique to create the bow from 1/8” Tear-ific Tape and Gypsy Red Velvet glitter.  Then small jewels from Mon Ami Gabby Red Diamond Mesh were added to the card front with Dimensional GlueYou can find detailed directions to make this card in the SNS gallery here.

Don't forget to leave a comment with each Designer to be eligible for the Grand Prize.  We love reading your comments and hope we have inspired you as well.  If you absolutely cannot leave a comment for some reason, please email icinganne@yahoo.com with your comment and the name of the blog or Designer you are commenting about.

Last month the winner came from April's blog.
Wonder which Designer contains the Grand Prize winner this month?

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Happy Birthday Friends

I have had so much fun with the new Sparkle N Sprinkle Birthday Friends set.  It is so perfect to add a little fun to birthday cards for those of us getting up in age.
x

I used the image of these sweet little ladies, along with Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities to create this birthday card.  I started with layers of pink and yellow.  The pink layer was run through an embossing folder and Versamark Ink was rubbed across the embossing to bring out the design.  I added strips of 3/4" "Tear-ific" Tape both vertically and horizontally before layering this on my white card base.  After removing the protective layer, I added Flirt Glitter.
x

I used three different images and cut out the various parts using three different size circle dies.  After coloring these, I layered them on slightly larger circles, die cut from sticker paper.  The remaining exposed adhesive was covered with Teal Velveteen Velvet Glitter.  Dimensionals were used to pop these up on the card front.
x

The lovely bow at the top was created with 3/4" "Tear-ific" Tape and Flirt glitter.  See the technique here in the SNS Tips and Techniques.

Thought I would also share this little tidbit – rumor has it that the elderly lady on the right in this image is named Eunice.  Guess what the “E” stand for in E. Marie?

Thanks for stopping by.
